Honouring Sacred Connections and Strengthening Indigenous Wellness Through Collective Action

Healing Our Spirit Worldwide is an international invitation to come together in joy and resolve to move forward as one, to heal and celebrate the spirit of Indigenous Peoples. This global Indigenous gathering is held every four years, hosted in different locations around the world.
In May 2028, the tenth gathering of Honouring Our Spirit Worldwide (HOSW10) will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada which is deep in the heart of the unceded homeland territory of the Algonquin Nation. The hosts for this event include Thunderbird Partnership Foundation, First Peoples Wellness Circle , First Nations Health Managers Association, Youth Substance Addiction Committee, and Indigenous International Committee for HOSW.
Indigenous leaders and health care professionals from every corner of the earth will attend HOSW10 to share, support, celebrate and learn. The gathering features workshops and presentations, healing activities, cultural performances and more.

After careful consideration, the organizing partners have made the collective decision to relocate the 10th Healing Our Spirit Worldwide Gathering from Washington, DC to Ottawa, Ontario.
In light of the current climate, we recognized the importance of ensuring that this gathering takes place in a setting where participants can come together in a way that feels grounded, supported, and aligned with the spirit of the event. This was a values-based decision rooted in care, collective responsibility, and our commitment to the wellbeing of those who gather with us.
We are honoured to carry the gathering forward in Ottawa in May 2028 and will share more details in the coming months.
